| Dr. Julie Moodoyan , graduated from the University Of Florida College Of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. Her family is originally from Live Oak, FL, although she grew up abroad, as her parents were in the U.S. Air Force. She received her BA at Florida State University before attending veterinary school at UF. She and her husband Mike, have a son, Ryan, a daughter, Olivia and a new baby boy named Judah. They also share their home with Tigger and Bunny, 2 cats rescued from animal shelters. Dr. Moodoyan has a particular interest in feline medicine, dentistry, and client education. |

| Dr. Sondra Brown , comes from a small town in Kansas where her family raised and showed English Setters. Dr. Brown graduated from Kansas State University College of veterinary medicine in 1993. She then returned to KSU to earn a Masters Degree in Veterinary Pathology. She worked as a veterinarian in Manhattan, KS then lived in Montreal, Canada before settling in Tallahassee. Dr. Brown is married and has three children. She shares her home with three dogs (Golden Retriever, Miniature Schnauzer and Shetland sheepdog) and three cats (1 Domestic Short hair, 1 Bengal and 1 Burmese). She is a member of the Northside Rotary Club, and 2007 President of the Bid Bend Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Brown's primary interests in veterinary medicine include internal medicine and behavioral medicine. |

| Dr. Kevin Brumfield , a 1997 Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, is originally from Ocean Springs, MS. In addition to his dog and cat patients, Dr. Brumfield has a special interest in exotic animal medicine. He also has a strong interest in orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, as well as dentistry. After finishing two externships in exotic animal medicine at Care Animal Hospital in Brandon and Long Beach Animal Hospital in Long Beach, CA, Dr. Brumfield joined Northwood Animal hospital in July, 1997. He and his wife, Lauren own three dogs (two Labrador Retrievers and one Miniature Pinscher). The Brumfields' welcomed a daughter, Avery, in January 2006. |

| Dr. Sherri Kasper , a 1998 graduate from University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, is originally from Warren, NJ. She has a strong interest in ultrasound and has pursued this through numerous ultrasound and echocardiogram conferences. Dr. Kasper completed several externships in both small and large animal medicine, include emergency medicine before arriving in Tallahassee. She has been a part of the Northwood Animal Hospital team since February 1999. Dr. Kasper is married and has a son. As for pets, she has 1 DSH cat and 3 dogs (Lab mix, Catahoula mix, and a cocker mix). |

Emily Hooker, is from Livonia, MI and has been a technician and The Animal Hospital at Southwood, since 2003. She graduated cum laude from Florida State University with a degree in Biology and a specialty certificate in Marine Biology. She has three cats and a man at home (Bono - tuxedo, Nibbler - brown tabby, Inara - orange tabby munchkin, and Jerris - electrical engineer). In her free time, she plays ultimate Frisbee, and enjoys reading, camping, and watching hockey (go Red Wings!).

Jessica Burke, was born and raised in Tallahassee. She has been working at The Animal Hospital at Southwood since 2001. She graduated from Rickards High School in 2002. Her specialty here at the clinic is dental health and dental health awareness. She has five "kids" Prof R. J. Lupin (black DSH), Moaning Myrtle (black and white DSH), Draco Malfoy (ferret), Sally Mae (white with black ears DSH), and the newest member to the Burke Family; Kreacher an adorable Miniature Pincher. While not at work, she enjoys reading (especially Harry Potter), watching movies, and spoiling her kids!

Kim Simon , originally from New York, moved to Tallahassee in 1987. She has been with us for over 2 years and works both in the Pet Resort and on the hospital side training to be a veterinary technician. She has one son and four dogs. In her spare time she enjoys going to the movies.

Rachel Harrod, was born and raised in Crawfordville, Florida. She has a black lab named Connor (named after Connor Oberst of Bright Eyes). She enjoys listening to music and being outdoors.

Jess Batchelor, is from Naples, Florida and moved to Tallahassee to pursue a degree in English at Florida State University. In her free time she enjoys reading (anything and everything), watching movies, feeding her online shopping addiction, and spending time with her friends (especially her second family here at Southwood!), family and adorable, lovable Golden Retriever named Walker and her playful, sweet orange tabby named Gertrude McFuzz. |

Susan Rodgers worked twenty years as a certified Veterinary Technician before becoming a practice manager. We were lucky enough to snatch her up in 2010 and she has been managing our practice since. She loves animals, and currently resides in Georgia by her numerous cats, dogs, horses, and rabbits. |

Kina Lundgren was born and raised in Lindesberg, Sweden. She has been working as a receptionist since September 2009, but otherwise loves working outdoors and spending time with her family which is expecting their first granddaughter, Alice. They have three dogs of their own; Bud (Golden Retriever), Brad (Boston Terrier), and Mary (Boxer). She is also proud of surviving in Tallahassee as a die-hard Florida Gators fan.

Molly Hosely is originally from Massachusetts, but moved to South Florida. She found herself Tallahassee bound when it was time for college. She is pursuing a degree in Marine Biology from Florida State University and would love to research whales in the Pacific Ocean.

Lauren Zaremba moved from her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky to the Sunshine State for exactly that - the sunshine! When she isn’t taking care of her four-legged friends at the Pet Resort, she enjoys arts and crafts, reading, going to the beach, and spending time with her partner, Erin. Together they have a Miniature Pinscher/ Pug Mix (Samurai) and three cats (Binx, Damien, and Donegal).

Samantha Parks was born and raised in Tallahassee, but ventured down to Orlando to attend the University of Central Florida. While in Mickey Mouse town, she found herself continually changing majors (at least eight times). She then learned how to be decisive and came back home to earn her degree from Florida State University in English, with a specialization in Writing, Editing, and Media. In her spare time she enjoys photography (especially of her three-legged love: a cattle dog mix named Penny Lane, and her Calico: Turtle).

Nikki Rupp was born in Tallahassee, but moved to good ole’ Georgia after high school to pursue higher education. She received her B.S. in Animal Science from Berry College, and her M.S. in Biology at the University of West Georgia. She loves science, natural history, and ecology. She also enjoys making 3D art, spending time outdoors, and taking long walks with her trusty Schipperke, Leah.

Kyle Szendel is a Kennel Technician with a degree in Studio Art from Florida State University that he keeps in his sock drawer. Outside of work, he plays guitar and studies computer animation, and often hurts himself while biking the local trails. He also maintains a long distance relationship with his parent’s dog, Hattie, in Jupiter, Florida.

Jaime Hammack is the newest member of the Southwood team. Originally from Melbourne, Florida, she moved to Tallahassee to earn her degree in Human Sciences from Florida State University. She is also a musician who specializes in traditional Irish music. You can find her around town singing and playing the pennywhistle and flute in two local bands: The Ned Devines and Cúig.
