| Dr. Julie Moodoyan , graduated from the University Of Florida College Of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. Her family is originally from Live Oak, FL, although she grew up abroad, as her parents were in the U.S. Air Force. She received her BA at Florida State University before attending veterinary school at UF. Her husband, Mike, is the office manager at The Animal Hospital at Southwood. They have a son, Ryan, a daughter, Olivia and a new baby boy named Judah. They also share their home with Tigger and Bunny, 2 cats rescued from animal shelters. Dr. Moodoyan has a particular interest in feline medicine, dentistry, and client education. |

| Dr. Sondra Brown , comes from a small town in Kansas where her family raised and showed English Setters. Dr. Brown graduated from Kansas State University College of veterinary medicine in 1993. She then returned to KSU to earn a Masters Degree in Veterinary Pathology. She worked as a veterinarian in Manhattan, KS then lived in Montreal, Canada before settling in Tallahassee. Dr. Brown is married and has three children. She shares her home with three dogs (Golden Retriever, Miniature Schnauzer and Shetland sheepdog) and three cats (1 Domestic Short hair, 1Bengal and 1 Burmese). She is a member of the Northside Rotary Club, and 2007 President of the Bid Bend Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Brown's primary interests in veterinary medicine include internal medicine and behavioral medicine. |

| Dr. Kevin Brumfield , a 1997 Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, is originally from Ocean Springs, MS. In addition to his dog and cat patients, Dr. Brumfield has a special interest in exotic animal medicine. He also has a strong interest in orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, as well as dentistry. After finishing two externships in exotic animal medicine at Care Animal Hospital in Brandon and Long Beach Animal Hospital in Long Beach, CA, Dr. Brumfield joined Northwood Animal hospital in July, 1997. He and his wife, Lauren own three dogs (two Labrador Retrievers and one Miniature Pinscher). The Brumfields' welcomed a daughter, Avery, in January 2006. |

| Dr. Sherri Kasper , a 1998 graduate from University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, is originally from Warren, NJ. She has a strong interest in ultrasound and has pursued this through numerous ultrasound and echocardiogram conferences. Dr. Kasper completed several externships in both small and large animal medicine, include emergency medicine before arriving in Tallahassee. She has been a part of the Northwood Animal Hospital team since February 1999. Dr. Kasper is married and has a son. As for pets, she has 1 DSH cat and 3 dogs (Lab mix, Catahoula mix, and a cocker mix). |

Emily Yambasky , is from Livonia, MI and has been a technician at The Animal Hospital at Southwood since 2003. She graduated cum laude from FSU with a degree in biology and a specialty certificate in marine biology. She has two cats and a man at home (Bono- tuxedo, Nibbler- brown tabby and Jerris- electrical engineer). In her free time she plays ultimate Frisbee and enjoys reading.
Jessica Burke , was born and raised in Tallahassee. She has been working at The Animal Hospital at Southwood since 2001. She graduated from Rickards High School in 2002. Her specialty here at the clinic is dental health and dental health awareness. She has two "kids" Lupin (black DSH) and Sally Mae (black and white DSH). While not at work, she enjoys reading (especially Harry Potter) and spoiling her kitties.
Matthew Rush Zaideman , has two Golden Retrievers; a one year old female named Lucy, and a three month old male named Walker. He also has 3 cats named Maggie, Dylan and Isis. In his spare time Matt likes to listen to Bob Dylan and play his guitar. Matt loves FSU sports and is a Chicago Cubs fan. He is a current FSU student and is seeking a degree in chiropractic medicine.
Rachel Harrod, was born and raised in Crawfordville, Florida. She has a black lab named Connor (named after Connor Oberst of Bright Eyes). She enjoys listening to music and being outdoors.
Jessica Batchelor , is from Naples, Florida and moved to Tallahassee to pursue a degree in English at Florida State University. In her free time she enjoys reading, watching movies, feeding her online shopping addiction, cheering on the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame and spending time with her friends, family and adorable, lovable Golden Retriever, Walker.
Michael Moodoyan , the office manager of the hospital, was raised in Massachusetts and now lives in Florida. He has eighteen years of veterinary technician experience. He has two cats and two children. When not at work he can be found at home.
Leigh Bolte , a native of Kansas, moved to Tallahassee in 2005. She has worked in the veterinary medicine field since 2006 and is working towards going to school to become a certified veterinary technician. She lives with a cat named Kenny and a chocolate lab named Fudge. Leigh enjoys everything Florida has to offer outdoors - including fishin', huntin', boatin', mud-boggin' and 4-wheelin'.
Kim Simon , originally from New York, moved to Tallahassee in 1987. She has been with us for over 2 years and works both in the Pet Resort and on the hospital side training to be a veterinary technician. She has one son and four dogs. In her spare time she enjoys going to the movies.
Whitney Molina , is from Columbia, MO and moved to Crawfordville about 7 years ago. She recently graduated from Wakulla High School and is currently attending the Tallahassee Community College. After graduation, she plans to attend the University of Florida for Veterinary Medicine.
Karen Gheesling ,
is originally from Massachusetts - she came to Florida via Montana and has a degree in Parks and Recreation Management, as well as being dangerously close to a Master's Degree in Magazine Journalism. She is the manager of the Pet Resort at Southwood and the resident dog trainer. She married a photographer, which is especially nice because she's never lacking for award-winning photographs of her Jack Russell Terriers.
Chris Davis , Chris was raised in Chevy Chase; a Maryland subarb of Washington D.C. He graduated from Bethesda Chevy Chase High School in the Spring of 2003 and then attended Tulane University in New Orleans, LA. He now resides in Southwood where he enjoys spending time watching movies , enjoying the company of family and friends, and taking care of his dog and best friend, Snoopy.
Hayley Hengstebeck ,
was born in Upland California and moved to Tallahasee when she was 3 years old. She is currently a student at Tallahassee Community College and plans to obtain a degree in music and eventually open up her own music studio. In her free time, Hayley loves working with animals and loves all of the staff at the Animal Hospital and Pet Resort at Southwood. Hayley has a beautiful black lab named Jordan and a white domestic shorthair cat named Oliver.
Steffany Hagler , moved to Tallahassee in 2001 to attend Florida State University. She recently finished graduate school where she studied Apparel Design, Historic Clothing, and Museum Studies. Besides working as a curator at the Museum of Florida History, Steffany spends her weekends attending to all the wonderful animals that come to stay at the Pet Resort where she has been working since 2007. When she has free time, she enjoys designing clothes, traveling to new places, rooting on the Seminoles and Steelers, and spending time with her high school sweetheart. She and her husband love taking long walks with their beautiful lab retriever, Gracie, under the lovely oak trees in Southwood. They also stay cozy at home with their three handsome cats named Bandit, Smokey, and Micco.
